Winnipeg-based author Clarke Wayne (previously published under "Clarke Wainikka") is the creator of compelling dark fiction thrillers like EDGE OF ETHER, and mysteries including ALL JUNKIES FLOAT and THE RESEMBLANCE. She has been published by Gestalt Media and the Alternative Stories & Realities Podcast. She was a finalist in the 2021 ScreenCraft Cinematic Book Competition with her psychological thriller, ALL JUNKIES FLOAT.
She was a best-selling ghostwriter with over twenty novels written for clients, and she was an instructor of grammar and editing to international students for several years. She is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker. In 2023, her short film and TV pilot placed in multiple competitions like the Final Draft - Big Break and Outstanding Screenplays. She is represented by ScreenMasters International as of November 2024.
In 2025, the short BLOWOUT SALE won Best Picture at the Manitoba 2025 48 Hour Film Festival and best Manitoba short at the African Movie Festival in Manitoba, which Wayne wrote and produced. Her sci-fi thriller short, MATCHMAKER (produced by Sleeping Dog Films), is currently doing a festival run across northern England. She is a producer at 47 Filmworks where she develops the docuseries What Do You Do?
